The role of a State Representative is to craft legislation reflective of the residents’ concerns, and to be responsive of constituent requests. It is a demanding responsibility that requires focus and commitment; you do not get things accomplished simply by showing up, but by hard work and determination.In our lives, we must adjust according to the changes around us, and as I embrace the current obligations as your State Rep., my vision is to add another responsibility: government must switch roles from public control to community support. Our representatives must help to strengthen our communities and to act as a compass in these tough, but promising, times.
